Either way, it's the same boat, the same crew, and the same stretch of historic coast. Pick how high you want to go and how long you want to stay up there.

What you'll actually see

Above the Bridge of Lions, looking down on four and a half centuries of coastline.

From four hundred feet up you can see the Castillo de San Marcos, the lighthouse on Anastasia Island, the spires of the Cathedral Basilica, the Matanzas River curling out to the Atlantic, and, on a clear day, all the way north to the St. Johns. It's the city tour you didn't know you could take.

Where we fly

St. Augustine Municipal Marina.

We launch from the City Marina at 111 Avenida Menendez, two blocks from the Castillo and right under the Bridge of Lions. There's metered waterfront street parking or an all-day garage at the visitor center about a mile away. From the air you see Anastasia Island, Vilano Beach, the historic district, and the open Atlantic, all at once. Mornings tend to be the calmest, so book early and beat the afternoon wind.

Who flies

Singles. Tandems. Whole families.

Fly solo, fly tandem, or take three up at once. Most families pick the triple so the kids can ride with a parent. Minimum age 5; maximum combined weight 450 lbs (your captain calls the safest pairing day-of). Pregnant guests can't fly. No experience required, no swimming required.

We dip you at the end of the flight, so plan to get wet from about the waist down. Wear swimwear and bring a towel. Sunscreen and water recommended.

What's included

Show up 30 minutes early.

Professional captain & crew. All safety gear. About an hour and a half on the boat with 8–10 minutes airborne. Photo packages are $45 per group (every flight, every guest). Bring sunscreen and a towel, and leave the big bags in the car.

Everyone who boards the boat must sign a waiver. The link comes in your confirmation email.

Historic St. Augustine

Founded in 1565. You fly over all of it.

St. Augustine is the oldest continuously occupied European-established settlement in the continental United States, and the whole of it fits into one flight. Our dock sits in the middle of the historic district, so the coquina walls of the Castillo, the red towers of the Casa Monica, the plaza laid out in 1573 and the Bridge of Lions are all inside the same frame from four hundred feet up. Most guests make a morning of it — fly first, then walk the old town while it's still cool.

Within a five-minute walk of our dock

Castillo de San Marcos
The coquina-stone fort begun in 1672 to defend the city — the oldest masonry fort in the continental U.S. Two blocks north along the bayfront.
St. George Street
Pedestrian-only old town. Spanish-colonial storefronts, courtyards, food. One block inland.
Bridge of Lions
The marble lions you'll fly over. Walk it after; the views from above and below are very different.
Cathedral Basilica
The oldest Catholic parish in the U.S., three minutes from our dock.
